Where are your ceramics made?
I work between Northampton, MA and my private studio in Ghent, NY. Your piece may be made in either, or both locations, but always with my dog by my side.
How does the made-to-order process work?
Each piece is handmade individually after your order is placed. Please allow 4–9 weeks for production, as I am a one-woman show and personally handle every step of the process, from building and painting to glazing and firing. Ceramics require multiple stages: forming, drying, trimming, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. The process cannot be rushed without risking cracks or warping. I so appreciate your patience and understanding :)
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
No two handmade ceramic pieces are identical. Small variations in shape, glaze, texture, and color are part of what makes handmade pottery so special.
Are your ceramics food safe?
Yes! My ceramics are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended to extend the life of handmade pottery.
Are your pieces durable?
I’ve used my own ceramic dinnerware daily for years and have found the pieces to be incredibly durable. The only time I’ve experienced cracking or chipping has been from being too rough while stacking them in the sink. Like all ceramics, handmade pottery should still be handled with care. Avoid sudden temperature changes and heavy impact
Can I return a made-to-order item?
Because each piece is handmade specifically for you, made-to-order items are final sale unless they arrive damaged.
